Melbourne's largest and best-known kitchen firm, Impala Kitchens has been purchased by Australia's leading kitchen retailer and supplier, Australian Kitchen Industries (AKI).

Moving forward, from July 1st the Impala Kitchens brand will become known as Impala Kitchen Connection as it merges with AKI's leading retail brand.

AKI was formed in the late 1990s with the aquisition of Nobby Kitchens and Wallspan Kitchens. Kitchen Connection was subsequently launched in 2000 and is now Australia's most recognised kitchen brand.

The structure of Impala Kitchens as Impala Kitchen Connection will remain largely unchanged as Impala Director Mr Kevin Read, who has been associated with the form for 35 years, will remain throughout the integration process.
