Impala’s client was building a unique house on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. The house had predominantly curved walls and the kitchen design was to complement the home structure. The colours were to be neutral and have a contemporary feel.
In keeping with the brief, Impala designed a kitchen with curved “corners” and a curved sitting area. The appliance cabinet, stone top, doors, kickboards and bulkhead were all curved. A tinted white colour was used for the gloss polyurethane doors and a sandy coloured 20mm stone top was fitted. Metallic glass mosaic tiles were used for the splashback to complement the stainless steel appliances and reflect the glorious water colour outside.
The result is a contemporary seaside kitchen which is striking in simplicity, yet stunning.
