Our client was renovating an older style home in one of Sydney’s establish harbour-side suburbs. The house was an art-deco dwelling, featuring windows, cornice and tiles of the era. The client wanted to renovate with the home’s architecture in mind. The client requested Impala to design the bathroom and laundry area, build the joinery and do the associated trade work.
Impala recommended a black and white theme for the space, created by the floor tiling and designed simple, crisp white joinery to off-set the checkered floor. Black granite bench tops were used in the laundry for their practicality and a white stone top on the bathroom vanity. A hanging and folding area was designed in the laundry space. Tall cabinets line the side of the bathroom walls which match the gloss white tiles and provide extra storage for linen and towels.
