Our client was building an architecturally commissioned house on a waterfront location in Sydney’s inner west. The house is substantial and features opulent fittings and finishes throughout. Impala was commissioned to build joinery for the entire house. Extensive use of natural stone and polyurethane was requested as well as some timber veneer joinery. The result is a stunning mix of joinery which is sympathetic to the house design and the clients’ practical needs. Impala is proud of this project and the client is too.
The kitchen makes extensive use of Calcutta marble and custom colour gloss polyurethane joinery. Practical overhead cabinets with a lift up mechanism, glass shelves and LED lighting were installed. To add interest and dimension to the large island, three different stone heights were designed. The kitchen sink was crafted out of the marble top. A large scullery is located behind custom timber doors, where a second sink and substantial fridge is kept. This area serves as a food preparation zone and large pantry area. Electronic drawers run the entire length of the kitchen.
