Functionality and aesthetics were key considerations in this kitchen design. Our client was building a new home in Sydney for a family of five and the brief was neutral with some warm hues. White was to be the dominant colour with some warm tones. To this end, Jarrah was used on the island unit and a fresh, crisp green glass splashback was recommended. The balance of the cabinets were a satin white polyurethane. A thick “snow” Caesar stone bench top was installed and practical considerations such as a built in wine rack in the island unit and bi-folding pantry doors were incorporated in the kitchen design. Handles were used only on one side of the kitchen cabinets, creating a design complementing sleek lines and creating a modern feel.
The result is a contemporary and practical kitchen design, befitting the style and architecture of our clients’ new home.
