Impala’s client was building a new home on the water in Sydney’s Southern suburbs. The client engaged Impala to design and build all the joinery on this project, including the kitchen/s, bathroom cabinets, study, wardrobes and entertainment units.
The kitchen was situated in the main focal point of the home and was to be much more than a cooking area, it needed to seamlessly blend into the open space, providing a practical area for casual meals. To this end, Impala designed large island bar with natural stone as the feature. The island houses a black sink and black tapware to add to the contemporary feel. Some warmth is incorporated into the kitchen space through the use of a large timber veneer sliding door which leads to the walk in pantry. Pendant lights and black and white leather stools to the island add the finishing touches.
