Our client was renovating a cottage in Sydney’s inner west. The renovation involved extending the rear of the dwelling and affording the kitchen area a larger space. Bi-fold doors lead to the rear yard. The kitchen brief was all about the materials – the client wanted to use unique materials as she had been doing throughout the rest of the home. The floors in the cottage were a polished concrete with a blue stain, this material was also used in the kitchen splashback. The kitchen doors are a crisp white laminate and the island bar back is a textured metallic laminate. Display niches were used at the tall ends of the kitchen with an aubergine background to add interest. The bench top is white corian. The result is a stylish, contemporary kitchen with a Mediterranean twist.
Impala also installed wardrobes in this renovation, using decorative laminate.
