Impala’s clients were renovating an apartment in an exclusive development near the Sydney suburb of Bondi. The apartment is home to two adults who have downsized from their family house and who work from home. The renovation did not require any structural changes but required extensive new finishes and custom joinery throughout the apartment. The client wanted neutral background colours with a splash of vibrant colour to add energy to the space. Impala was contracted to do all the joinery and the bathroom renovations in the apartment.
The bathroom renovations involved an ensuite, main bathroom and combined powder room/laundry area.
Important design elements were :
Working with the apartments’ angled walls
Extensive use of mirror to enlarge the bathroom spaces
Frameless showerscreens to add to opulence
Use of metallic blue and white glass mosaics to add interest design flare
Use of limestone on the vanity tops and floor of all the spaces to add to the luxurious feel
Impala also installed under floor heating to the rooms to add warmth in cool winter months
