Stylish Hamptons Inspired Master Suite

This stylish master suite once was a master bedroom/bathroom, a hallway and 5th guest room. Impala Designer Hilary Ryan worked her magic with the Impala Team to create this stylish Master Suite which was named a National Finalist for KDBi Awards.

Located in Sydney’s leafy northern suburbs the original bedroom had a walk in wardrobe that was small, dark and ugly. The ensuite was outdated with a corner spa and unattractive vanities. The bedroom had no character and didn’t fit in with the Hamptons style home.

Design Concept

The layout of the existing space was completely redefined. An unused 5th bedroom and hallway were incorporated into the room by removing walls creating a beautiful light filled area to house a full sized dressing room.

The doorway to the dressing room was moved to the centre of the room to improve flow between the bedroom, beautiful French doors were used to create an inviting entrance. A gorgeous chandelier centred above the glass doors and the glass topped island bench adds elegance to the space. The island bench houses folded clothing and glass top drawers make a display of jewellery, male accessories and scarf storage.

Shallow cabinets were added to provide ample shoe storage. The full size mirror doors bounce light around the room and allows a full view for dressing.

A window seat in the dressing room provides an inviting place to sit while dressing and open shelving and a dressing table provide a lavish beauty station.

Off white shaker doors, proud kicks and simple shaker post panels create a seamless Hamptons style in keeping with the entire renovation.

The bathroom was updated with stunning marble floor tiles, luxurious fittings and an indigo vanity to add some pizazz. A window seat was built in the bedroom to provide a luxurious place to read and add personality to the bedroom. A stylish wall paper adds vibrancy to the previously bland room.

The final result is just stunning, earning this Master Suite a National Finalist Award from the Kitchen and Bathroom Design Institute 2019.
